Computer Access | Workstation Evaluation
This service determines adaptive equipment and interventions that will allow an individual to more effectively access a computer, workstation and/or perform general office tasks. The evaluation includes one or two sessions of 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours in duration. After background information is gathered before and at the start of the evaluation, a variety of equipment and workstation arrangements are then implemented and measured for effectiveness.
Ergonomic Evaluation
This service is similar to the above. However, the emphasis is on improving the ergonomics of the workstation for individuals who have begun to develop symptoms associated with repetitive motion injuries. For individuals who have become injured with a repetitive motion injury and have lost the ability to perform previous job tasks, alternate input methods will be recommended that avoid the body movements that exacerbate or produce symptoms. As above, a report is produced with recommendations for equipment and other interventions.
Consultation | Equipment Set-Up | Training
The fee for installing and setting up equipment will be $78 an hour. Training will be available for the same fee. Consultation is any service that does not involve training or set-up and can include the demonstration, research or recommendation of equipment outside of a standard evaluation.
Ordering of Equipment
As mentioned above, equipment can be ordered directly through Assistive Technology Solutions to streamline and simplify the acquisition of equipment. This service usually takes one to four hours, depending on the amount of equipment to be ordered.
